The Delta State Universal Basic Education Board (Delta SUBEB) operates through a structured system of specialized Directorates and Departments designed to ensure efficient service delivery, accountability, and effective implementation of the Universal Basic Education (UBE) programme across Delta State.

Each Directorate is headed by a Director and functions under the supervision of the Board Executive Chairman and the Board Secretary/Permanent Secretary. The departments are strategically aligned with UBEC operational guidelines and government regulations to support policy execution, programme delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement in basic education.

Through these Directorates, Delta SUBEB coordinates planning, administration, teacher development, infrastructure delivery, quality assurance, community engagement, and data management—ensuring that public primary and junior secondary schools receive the support required to deliver quality, inclusive, and sustainable basic education.
